When an investigation is going on, the police are expected to be truthful when they are giving any information. Giving information that is not true is an example of a police misconduct. One example of evidence planting happened with officer Richard Pinheiro of the Baltimore police department. What Richard did was to fix a drug into a man so that he can be charged with drugs.
Another case that involved police misconduct is the Walter Scott case. The police here was involved with both planting evidence and also brutality. In the Walter case these attorneys who were handling the case were experts in police brutality, civil right experts and also planted evidence experts in order to get to the right charges. The police officer was taken to prison to serve a twenty years term in prison.
